I had the same results. Seems like few people really test that (the right way). Same thing with adding a phone number in bag area funny enough.

I just removed mine because I really haven't had much success with folks converting who come through. More feeling than data. I just know that the conversations I've had through them in recent months haven't turned around much. Flip side, site's faster

I know for me, I'm about 10x more likely to shut down the page and never open it up again unless it's an absolute necessity of some sort. For example, like

It always depends on how they’re set up! If you don’t put any work into adding a chat tool to your site, then you can’t expect any results, just like any other marketing experiment or campaign
