Corellium doesn’t have a defense. They can’t plead ignorance. Apple can easily prove willful intent to defraud and then profit off fraudulent activity

I don't really see how your summer house analogy makes sense unless I required you to buy my car before you could use my house. Otherwise that's just squatting when Apple already offers their software for free.

It’s not free. They monetize off their hardware. And provide a warranty - 1 year of hardware warranty and Apple Care. And generally 5 years of free software updates Just like buying a Tesla (hardware). You get software updates (for free) up to a limited time (not indefinite)

It is free. I can download any IPSW I want regardless of the device I own. I don't have to provide proof of owning a device or anything.

Odgovor korisnicima @BribeApple @pod2g i sljedećem broju korisnika:
It is not free. You paid with your hardware. You can only get free updates for a certain amount of time/generations of hardware Apple software does the verification of the hardware. So you don’t have to “prove”. It’s in the name of simplicity

Where's the legal obligation to only use it on their hardware?

I think this pointless. Talk to a lawyer to learn property rights and the law

Like I said. Pay a lawyer to learn property rights and the law. They’ll charge you for their time and knowledge

Creators have a right to set their term for their work. That is why they set the license terms to whatever they want. Don’t like it? Don’t use it. But short of eminent domain, you have no say on this matter, beyond any market forces.

It doesn’t matter. The law is still on their side, even if I download and copy it into your machine, they still have those rights.
