none of these things appear to be examples of reality. 1/ facebook is not controlled by one person - there is a board, there are shareholders, there are foreign governments telling it what to do, and increasingly the threat of our own.

This isn’t what monopoly means. You have one monopoly in a given industry. Mono means one. Monopoly is never plural in the way you seem to be using it here. If there’s more than one “monopoly” in a field then it isn’t a monopoly because that doesn’t make sense.
