I also hope more people who realize they tweeted false news can consider deleting their tweet. They can correct with screenshot of old tweet
corrections to false news never catch up to the viral mistake. possible solution: ability to one-time private message all ppl who retweeted

it's not enough. i've retweeted things that have been deleted. either haven't noticed or didn't realize why.

j.k. rowling has 75k retweets on a false story. deleting it won't signal to those 75k ppl it was wrong. a correction won't go viral.

i'm assuming she, like most of us, genuinely wants to correct herself. but we need the tools to do so. easy fix here.
