1/ it's unfortunate the most idiotic right wingers in the nation politicized sharia, bc it actually is a global problem.

3/ but belief in global islamic POLITICAL rule is a real and statistically popular opinion among adherents to islam

4/ until we name this problem, engage it peacefully (possibly with money, helping moderate voices build community etc.), people will die

I think the popularity of Sharia Law is linked to the popularity of *Law*. People really hate corruption.

if this were true we would see super majorities supporting in majority muslim nations. we do not.

if it's true we should see correlations to corruption indexes, definitely a testable hypothesis!
