the difference between a 25-year-old in 1962 and a 25-year-old in 1982 feels tremendous. an entire cultural world between them. views on sex, music, fashion, politics — totally different. the difference between a 25-year-old in 2002 and a 25-year-old in 2022 is ? ???

62 would have still felt fairly captain america conservative no? 82, post 70s, would have felt a lot more cynical?
