i like clubhouse, but my two cents: a good room requires a lot of work from the hosts. over time, this work felt more draining to me than exciting, and i couldn't really justify not capturing the value of my effort in an age of substack.

Dynamic paid room gating is the way; once more than 100 people want in, the cost should be a dollar to join. Once more than 500 people want in the cost should be five. Random numbers, but directionally, the higher stakes it is to moderate, the higher quality of conversation...$$$
