This is worth criticizing but it’s silly to call this ‘defending crime’. It’s asking why people care more about some crime than others.
Hamasaki is correct in saying there is very little enforcement and prosecution of white collar crime such as wage theft, workplace violations etc, although the city itself has little oversight and enforcement powers.
I mean, his twitter bio literally says "Criminal Defense".
