i would celebrate the admission if i thought he ever truly believed the surge wasn’t coming. but that’s not the case. he’s not an economist anymore. he hasn’t been an economist for many years. he works for the party.

He did pretty well on predicting the 2008 crash. Better than most mainstream econoblogger/editorialists. Blew Friedman out of the water on that. But it's not fair to hit children.
