ubiquitous mobile internet is obviously, tremendously valuable. its countless applications improved billions of lives. but now that it's everywhere, it's perhaps too easy to forget the internet's initial promise — gaining knowledge, then leaving, and improving the real world.
corollary of logging on was logging off. a world of mobile internet is better than a world of no internet. but i miss logging off.
