Doesn’t this make the US’s top rate 37 + 5 = 42, which is still less than France’s 45 (with a 4% surtax for 500K-1M+) or Germany’s 45% top bracket?

terrible that we have to pay slightly more in taxes to get >90% health insurance coverage in this country (and couldn’t get closer to 100% bc states like TX rejected Medicaid subsidies from the federal govt).
