I don’t get it, wouldn’t this proposal only tax unrealized gains of billionaires, so effectively it would be a wealth tax, no? Your average person wouldn’t have to pay it, correct?

the $600 transfer limit was meant to target billionaires only, too - but much I think we all know it will eventually be rolled out to the general public once governments realize there are not enough billionaires to extract money from

The absurdity of paying taxes on a stock that appreciated but has not been sold yet leads to investors not to invest. Another horrible policy for our sputtering economy. If money is not invested- companies can’t grow and hire- guess who gets hurt? Hint- it’s not billionaires.
