The pathway that I see more of is "The right to swing your arms around stops when you hit my face" to "Your words and ideas are the equivalent to hitting my face" to "I'm allowed to tell you what ideas you can express because they are the equivalent of physical harm"
“if someone hits you, it’s okay to hit them back” to: “some opinions are literally violence” therefore: “if someone has a bad opinion, you’re allowed to hit them” (bad opinions will be determined by the new york times)
