I was an intern there (as a proud centrist) in the late 00s, but they have clearly changed the mandate. Goes to show you that not-for-profits have an anti-objective (no profit), but their actual objective is not set in stone.
huge need right now for an organization of some kind that focuses on the protection of american civil liberties, could maybe call it the union for civil liberties? or civil liberties in america? american civil liberties union? idk but we need it and we need it yesterday

Way easier plan: 1 term for senators and reps, salary is median for their area, have to pass basic competency test, anyone who wants the job isn’t allowed to have it. No pension. If they can’t balance the budget they’re fired and fined. Lobbying and super pacs illegal.
