Pretty straightforward to look at places with more or less viral spread and more or less lockdowns. When examined in this light "lockdown deaths" are conclusively shown to be mostly non-existent but I don't know about this "making people crazy" theory.

I’m skeptical of most claims Covid causes X bad thing. Lots of people had Covid, so law of large numbers means there will be plenty of examples of X bad thing + Covid. I do believe 2016-present fucked with many people’s heads, but that’s more viral media than viral infections.

We’ve been growing sicker as a nation for quite some time due to the increased consumption of processed foods. COVID expedited the dysfunction. People’s bodies/mind couldn’t handle the stress of a pandemic situation while their system was at the same time being poorly fueled
