One grift that fascinates me is face tune. You can edit your photos, gain followers, and look totally different in person. And these ppl still lure in high status guys, married or not. A lot of men care about women being perceived as hot more than they care about them being hot?

I think a lot of these women have status on IG but not necessarily out in the real world. I know some IG queens that are hot on and off cam, this is just a specific type of person
yeah but we live like more than half our lives online. it’s fucked up but caring about instagram status is basically rational.

The single-and-looking Instagram grift is very different than the not single Instagram grift. For singles the objective is accelerate conversion to IRL date. Afterwards it’s just a dopamine addiction (or a path to selling stuff).
