For the sake of argument — is it possible this is measured as a percentage of a country’s population earning less than a certain percentage of mean income or something? In other words does what is considered “poverty” vary by country?
i genuinely have no idea what she’s talking about. maybe ranking countries by income gap or something? in which case sure, we are losing to somalia, where most people are equally starving.
