forcing working adults with no alternative to undergo a new medical procedure or lose their job is not The Beginning of Tyranny. it's classically presenting authoritarianism. deeper argument here:https://www.piratewires.com/p/my-body-my-choice …

Why do people use the timelines of other decades long vaccines when discussing the covid vaccine? Also what do you think would be the issue with telling people the vaccines are experimental, and that test subjects are needed? People sacrifice themselves for medical research.

It's misleading to imply the mRNA vaccines had only a year of testing and development. Also there are non-mRNA options like Novavax. The vaccines are safe and effective.https://apnews.com/article/years-research-groundwork-covid-19-shots-f204192f07cfcc3503dc9c7687ae6269 …

Isn't the primary proposed vaccine mandate centered around this dynamic of enforcing vaccination OR weekly testing? That's what I've seen, but I didn't see this mentioned in your article -- curious if I've missed something as I don't see many mentions of this in these discussions
-
I think the issue is that testing is expensive and the pressure to fire an employee who isn't vaccinated is high.

I don't get this. I just had to complete a round of vaccines, including influenza and TDAP, for immigration. This is standard for all immigrants to the US and directly affects our livelihoods.

Mike, love your writing. Want to clarify. Is your logic that vaccines shouldn't be required when new, or that vaccines shouldn't be required when not proven safe and newness means it hasn't been sufficiently proven safe? Two distinct arguments and want to know which you're making

The covid “passport” from what I understand doesn’t recognize natural immunity which is weird considering how well we know natural immunity is. If there are as many A-symptomatic cases as we think there are then you’d think there would be a ton of people with natural immunity…

….who haven’t earned immunity in the eyes of the government
