i'm confused about the definition honestly, have been googling around and can't find anything firm. i guess i'm mostly just wondering... if you aren't really in control of the military, have you not in a sense been overthrown? role of the pres is explicitly commander in chief

But your system IS that one person can. So it's undermining the system and President to make it so they cannot. Being fine with it once the reason is righteous and the President is disliked/judged to be out of control is not a good standard. You have a process - 25th Amendment
