Also, spot on regarding truth. Leaders are using a 20th century “noble lies” playbook for a 21st century, information rich, tech-enabled citizenry, which is damaging trust. The solution is to be transparent and tell the truth, not try to dupe us for public health outcomes.

"Covid spikes across the country have prompted the European Union to restrict travel from the United States" The real reason is retaliation. EU citizens cannot travel to the US for 570 days now. The EU hoped the US will remove the travel ban when they do, the US didn't.
