every time i criticize the san francisco left’s obsession with violence i’m gaslit by socialists — “reading classic literature is not endorsement!” this is the socialist party. their description of lenin is “crucial.” at what point are we allowed to take them at their word?

Love the idea that the same people who want to cancel the average American President for passing associations with past bad things, want us to view their genocidal heroes in a nuanced, contextual light.
They'd probably feature Stalin's writings too, but they were mostly just enemies lists.
They might also want to read up on the Great Purge, or the Cultural Revolution.
