we funded the human genome project for less than $3 billion dollars. the manhattan project, which ended world war II and launched a new scientific era, cost $23 billion dollars. apollo: for a quarter of this infrastructure bill, america built a gateway to the cosmos.
today, after our trillion dollar mountain of newly-minted cash finishes burning, what will be meaningfully different about our world?
