I'm not mad, just puzzled. Our political leaders aren't "interested in doing good"? Isn't the problem that there's bound to be significant disagreement about what "doing good" means when you've centralized decision-making to this extent in a country of 330 million?
doing nothing will never win. so you can focus on doing nothing, and lose against the increasingly-unhinged "do stuff" party forever, or you can offer an alternative vision for government — that may be wrong on the margins — and actually make a difference. imo!

I certainly agree with the need to offer an alternative vision for government. My preference would be one that protects rights and fosters innovation rather than consolidating power and crushing initiative.
