They don’t want solutions, just bargaining chips. Ask any of them to explain how thousands of districts were in-person all year in 20-21 school year. The whole thing is an unauthorized strike. Public education is basically destroyed in places like SF.

The Union is bargaining for better working conditions. Of course sitting at home, with a hot cup of tea, and no snotty kids, is way better than solving physical discipline issues, policing cheating in tests, and getting every cold and flu circulating in the town.

What they don’t seem to understand is why would I, as a tax payer, pay Sandy in SF to teach my kid over the Internet, when I could get a cheaper (and likely better) teacher by putting the job out to tender across 300m Americans, or the couple of Bn English speakers globally
