The expert and political class can & should be criticised. But if you extrapolate that criticism to the point where you start arguing that expertise doesn’t exist—you’re engaging in a radical denial of reality

agree with this, but imo the problems of what constitutes an expert (folks in media chronically sleight-of-hand apply the term to folks with whom they agree on politics and culture) as well as the push toward censorship of non-“expert” dissent pose the more present danger
