Seems hyperbolic on your part. It would depend on the tax rate. But better than taxing unrealized gains, tax companies based on market cap, not income. Would minimize the accounting games and impede bubble formation.

I thought a fairly straightforward way ahead here would be to trigger taxable gain recognition on any asset used as loan collateral.
