what is the evidence people aren’t taking the vaccine bc they read misinformation on facebook rather than a) they don’t believe it works bc our vaccinated leadership behaves publicly in a manner that suggests it doesn’t (masks etc.) or b) it’s new and they don’t want to risk it

No. That's not what I'm saying. I'm saying there *is* evidence amplifying disinformation that disincentivized vaccinations had an effect on people's behavior pre-COVID and there is zero reason to think it didn't also have an effect during COVID.
yea i’m just gonna need a little more than your word on some ambiguously-defined misinformation (actual conspiracy? discussion of hesitancy? disagreement on covid risk?) before i acquiesce to a massive, centralized censorship apparatus

If you actually want to see the COVID disinformation spread on Facebook you can look it up. Renee can point you to data on how disinfo impacts vaccine hesitancy. But if you don't care about the truth bc you fear "a massive, centralized censorship apparatus" that's on you.

I also do not want "a massive, centralized censorship apparatus." And acknowledging the harms of disinfo doesn't require one, thankfully. But when the truth and my opinion are in contest, I try to go with the truth.
