thinking about the blue check army coming after space exploration and shaking my head. even the USSR, bernie sanders' true north, once aspired for greatness through mankind's potential in science and technology. just sad, not even our communists are what they used to be.

Increased lifespan leads to an older population crowding out the young on earth. Look at Japan. I'd much rather my great-grand-kids expand off world than live to 200 and see them fight for land and resources from the elderly. Yes, false dichotomy, but one is better optima.

I might have missed it but I haven’t seen much opposition regarding space exploration. If anything, just regarding space tourism, which I doubt any would say is the same as exploration.
