I dunno mike, my position at this point is that I'm fine with antivax as long as their position is reflected in their insurance costs and they sign a DNI order with stipulation that they should not be resuscitated if they get COVID.

This is a trope that antivax activists use as a gotcha for why their kids shouldn’t have to have basic measles shots for school, too. The problem is when ‘choice’ impacts a whole room full of people who also get sick. This isn’t the first time states have debated mandates.

Would be good to acknowledge there's a meaningful externality here. Forced vaccination seems wrong. But opting out means you're simultaneously polluting the immunity environment -- virus pollution. Gotta pay to pollute. Internalize the externality.
