getting ahead of my mentions here, the response to 'defund npr' is always 'idiots, npr only receives a fraction of their funding from the state.' ok great, stop giving them that trivial amount of money. problem solved!

I would rather my money not be spent on land mines and drones. But, see, that’s the wild thing about representative democracy: money is spent by the decision of the legislature on a wide variety of things, and some of them won’t make you happy. You’ll survive this, I promise.
