getting ahead of my mentions here, the response to 'defund npr' is always 'idiots, npr only receives a fraction of their funding from the state.' ok great, stop giving them that trivial amount of money. problem solved!

NPR provides an incredibly valuable service to the public that is more than worth the budget it consumes, this tweet notwithstanding. It also has more public trust (and less distrust) than the majority of news organizations, which is very important in a divided era.

I too used to believe this but they’ve lost it. NPR does little to heal partisan divides & fans flames of division. Capitalism is inextricably tied America’s founding. To suggest a total rejection of capitalism is anti-American & counters ur point. They’re blatantly partisan.
