Anecdotal, but regarding CCP propaganda I’m hearing about friends of friends who genuinely believe Chinese and Russian citizens are happier because they live in a “communist” society.

A few even make the same claim about North Korean citizens, but the majority discuss China as being a model for building a healthier/happier society that is worthy of consideration and emulation. These same people have not heard of Uyghurs.
