ironically, no experience more greatly shifted me away from libertarianism than living in san francisco, a city ostensibly obsessed with public services and yet, despite an historic budget, almost no functioning public services. these days i just want things to work.

They gave all the money to nonprofits in a giant grifter scheme. Often these nonprofits were created by the people on the board of poopervisors
SF gives nonprofits a bad name. Ugh.
