It's not above the age of consent in Idaho (18), but it would be a close-in exception to age of consent. As SCOTUS ruled the law he broke unconstitutional and the act doesn't violate another this is a no-brainer and reflects how poorly some of the registry provisions are managed.

This was on semantics confusion. His partners were 16. The "age of consent" in Idaho is the age at which you can legally assent to sex with other people older than you without limit. Sex with people less than three years your own age who are below that age is a defined exception.
