big problem i’m having with the historical rewrite on chaos monkeys’ reception, and apple’s absolutely disgusting treatment of @antoniogm, is it’s hard to be thoughtful when you’re angry. struggling to find the thoughtful take here because i’m honestly just pissed.

Bigger is Amazon a market not showing the book in search results today when they were happily selling it until couple days back and show a book that’s summary of the book. That’s just dangerous precedent. Waiting now for Twitter to jump in the ring
need to learn more about that tbh. idea that they would pull the book over this is still too crazy for me to believe. (maybe im naive?)

I’m in amazon SEO biz and deeply familiar w algo. Things are deranked temporarily all the time for everything from out of stock issues to search re indexing. The book marketing manager may have rewritten the listing recently etc. 100% just an automated thing

Most likely story IMO is that all the buzz the news got burned through the few remaining copies in amzn inventory and then they deranked the product
