the most high-status thing a writer can do now is get canceled for a bullshit culture war offense, which can never happen to me because my colleagues aren’t psychotic. that’s honestly just not fair.

This might be an unpopular opinion but I can understand the Yglesias cancellation more than the AGM one. Chaos Monkeys predated the war in some ways. Yglesias knew he’d piss people off.
