John, what about oral cancer from chewing tobacco? Could gums and mints not have the same affect?

That is a very good question! Fortunately, people have been using nicotine gums for decades now as FDA-approved smoking cessation aids. As part of the FDA approval process includes monitoring after the drug is introduced into the market, specifically for things like cancer.
