Well, to be fair those are two different trees types and two different cuts on a tree. The bottom one is out of the heartwood and the top is the sapwood from a tree.

mm tbf they are somewhat different in that you literally cannot exactly replicate any handmade irl work of art so the status conversion is slightly more implicit than with nfts but the larger thesis is true we are just replicating the existing art market
