that's a strange deep reading of like sub-paragraph four in an overall push for pay equity and employment security

paragraph one: ambiguous statement on 'what medium is.' paragraph two: ambiguous statement on 'crossroads of the internet.' paragraph three: we will be controlling editorial. the phrases "pay equity" and "employment security" literally never once appear in the statement.

also like, all of the verticals have explicit points of view! there's literally a vertical dedicated to black culture!

anyway i know i wont budge your POV on this but i'm pushing you to not immediately read like "wokeism" into everything when a lot of the time i see it as like boilerplate businessspeak and stuff typical of mission statements, especially when writing is concerned

i genuinely don't understand - what specifically about my og tweet is a mischaracterization of their actual mission statement?

we may be talking about two diff things —platform vs verticals. i dont see them saying anything about touching what the extended network will write about (indeed that seems impossible) but the verticals can and do have mission statements (this is all my observation from outside)
