none of the vcs bitching about lowell give a shit about investing in education as a crucial function that affects all of society instead of a launching vehicle for their kids to make a lot of money a few years down the line

mike you’re not even close to having high school age kids why are you so deeply invested in keeping a status quo policy now instead of making sure the whole system is healthier

i am literally looking at houses in sf right now wondering "where the f am i going to send my kids to school if i buy here" what are you talking about

you are a very smart person with a kind of extremely pronounced bullshit detector that i genuinely admire, i simply refuse to believe you are looking at this situation thinking "yes, schools will be better now"

the reason we can't build rational, politically engaged community in sf is smart people generally can't imagine a future for themselves here. schools are an enormous part of that. i want a home, kids, and to send my kids to public school. don't feel this is insane to think about.
