This is wild. I think that the public blocklist model that was originally meant for harassment reduction has now just turned into a dehumanizing utility.

I can explain more in a bit but when people on Twitter have subscribed to other people’s *personally curated* block lists it’s ended up icing individuals out as collateral damage and basically all 3 parties aren’t even generally aware of the impact

ah, makes sense. fwiw this is why i wouldn't join a list like this myself. i want personal control of my (cherished, beloved, precious) block list. empowering users with better tools for blocking probably better, though twitter will likely never as they are nourished by the rage.
