genuine question do you believe individuals’ posts on their personal twitters should be taken as representations of their professional work, and do you believe that extends to other industries eg tech
a personal opinion clearly expressed on twitter obviously impacts a journalist's credibility as an objective reporter on that topic, which is why most serious media outlets have incredibly strict social media policies. unclear what the engineering comp is here.

mm i'm not talking about engineering i'm talking about business, which is what balaji elon etc do. like it just seems unproductive to call out a reporter for having opinions and then defend elon for spreading misinformation as if he doesn't have influence and credibility

to be clear i think the credibility/social media question in media is not obvious at all but there are lots of good & interesting conversations happening within media about it and to disregard the complexity of the issue to just attack them is either ignorance or bad faith
