A City Charter amendment that you have to have children in the SFUSD schools to be a member of the school board would probably cut down on the insanity. Easier to prioritize virtue signaling vs keeping schools open when you have no skin in the game.

SF schooling has 100% diverged from education. They’re no longer the same thing.
I think what a lot people don’t realize re: school closures are lots of SF teachers are older, so more at risk for COVID with no vaccine. Should they risk lives to teach? If we want schools open and safe for all, we have to get people vaccinated.
All private, parochial and charter schools have been opened since September. So far 5 infections and 0 deaths.
This should be encouraged, keep the schools closed and the board preoccupied to minimize the time they spend influencing children

I hope you're worried about schools being closed because that means many parents can't go to work (reasonable), and not because you believe the education system to be actually beneficial to the students (lol)
