Mike, thanks for writing this. I think I am certainly addicted to social validation and it's something I'm trying to move away from. I feel my brain tuning to being over responsive to these signals and unable to think. Trying to find ways to reshape how I engage.

It's not some acute crisis, but it's a subtle shift. Don't want to look up one day and feel like I wasted my life because of it.
