Something like this could work if each person had a reputation score and the disputes could be visualized by reputation types. That way it wouldn't so much be a truth vote as it would be a filter of discourse. I expect this to be a horribly gameable feature as is, though.
Who contributes to the reputation score? Very gameable.
Well one upside is they'll be able to redefine 'demotic' as a good thing
