the single most helpful thing twitter could do to improve discourse — and probably global stability — would be implementing tools for mass blocking, which would dramatically accelerate social silo’ing and impede the scale of viral information sharing.
(argument against is this may prevent people with different ways of thinking from peacefully coming together and talking out their differences, which... is definitely a thing that happens on this app in jack dorsey’s mind only)

True, twitter is already a competition to see who can build the biggest echo chamber.
They've already won that. Their "competitors" have the better business model and will prevail, despite Twitter's current advantage.

I follow you to get conflicting views and develop a complex nuanced reality but you have to accept that has to go both way and conservative purity and dogma tests are more extreme and cover a wider proportion of the political demographic. The Overton window exists for opinion+p
