the single most helpful thing twitter could do to improve discourse — and probably global stability — would be implementing tools for mass blocking, which would dramatically accelerate social silo’ing and impede the scale of viral information sharing.

You can block certain keywords to remove that conversation from your purview. Won’t block them but blocks the conversation. Does that help at all?

Just remove anonymity and most issues would subside, add in $1/mo and you remove the bots that don't want to be traced

More generally, any time I read a tweet that both: 1. Raises my blood pressure 2. Is about something that does not actually affect my life I figure out which of the words to mute so I can avoid the emotional rollercoaster of useless sensationalism in the future
