Why would tech employees need unions? Is it to alleviate immediate problems or is the vision more long term? Seems totally unnecessary for a largely white collar industry. Most big cos all but change your diaper.

What does it mean to "appropriate the language" of a coal miner's union? Is it just because they're calling it a union? They seem to be pretty transparent about their motives, which are completely different.
