Respectfully disagree. all of us have had our cars broken in to and the DA promised to end any police action agsainst homeless who break in to cars

i'm actually not sure we disagree. boudin is awful. i'm only saying i don't think many people followed that race closely. even by the numbers, not many voted for the race.

Isn’t the whole point of ranked choice is that you actually do get a majority of voters ultimately granting a majority win to a candidate (as long as the exhausted votes aren’t too large)?

isn’t ‘attention’ the ur-problem in local politics, especially in a relatively-well-off place like California with so many distractions & fashionable ‘luxury beliefs’? further, only made worse by growing entertainment/signaling power of *national* politics?

right but that's the problem. twitter is not SF. you aren't the first to wonder why there aren't more tech ppl founding propositions or voting moderate. the ground game/endorsement slates matter here.

the school board is endorsed by the teacher union. and the Dems - DCCC - here is controlled by the leftist party machine so that's who they endorse. and ppl vote the slate.https://www.sfdemocrats.org/our-party/the-dccc …
