This piece conflates SF, Silicon Valley proper, and the Bay Area. The attitudes (and grievances) with tech companies differ dramatically, as well as the handling of general governmental problems (e.g. homelessness)

i’ve written about prop 13 for over a year, and most recently in my november voting guide. i also referenced it directly via property taxes in the piece, though no, did not name it explicitly. i’m sorry i did not include the entire history of abysmal ca housing policy!
